Olavo Sant’ Anna is Director of PICA’s Sao Paulo, Brazil office. Olavo, a retired Colonel of the Sao Paulo State Military Police, has over forty years of experience in the safety and security industry. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Guarulhos University, a Bachelor’s in Police Science of Security and Public Order from Barro Branco Police Academy and, a Ph.D. in Police Science from the Sao Paulo State Military Police Academy. Olavo has held several important government positions related to safety and security including Commander of the Special Operation Unit of the Sao Paulo Military Police, State of Sao Paulo Representative for the Protection of the Brazilian Nuclear Program, State Secretary of the Sao Paulo State Military Household and, Director of the Sao Paulo State Disaster Agency. Olavo has received numerous service awards and including awards for crisis management and service to the Sao Paulo State Disaster Agency during emergencies.
