Francisco (Frank) Garza
Senior Director - Latin America
Frank is a recently retired Special Agent with the DEA who spent 21 years with the Agency. During his tenure he worked throughout the Southern United States and Latin America, including extended deployments in Mexico and Argentina. Frank is an expert in complex international investigations and undercover operations, and has recruited and managed confidential sources all around the world. While assigned to Buenos Aires, Frank provided expertise and assistance to foreign agencies on narcotic and dangerous drugs enforcement and control programs, and assisted in the development of their tactical and strategic intelligence programs. During his career he also liaised with and briefed Ambassadors, Deputy Chief of Missions, Regional Security Officers and other key entities in American Embassies, and coordinated extensive training programs for the DEA and other law enforcement entities.
Prior to joining the DEA, Frank spent 10 years with the Texas Department of Public Safety. While with DPS he was primarily focused on the coordination of close protection details, event security, criminal investigations, and crisis management and training programs. Frank began his career as a Military Police Officer in the United States Marine Corps assigned to Marine Corps Base - Twenty-Nine Palms, California. Frank is fully-bilingual in Spanish and English and has a B.S. degree in Criminal Justice from Southwest Texas State University.
