Lisa Lovell is the founder and managing director of Brand Enforcement UK Ltd, a legal consultancy specializing in brand protection and the criminal enforcement of intellectual property rights. In 2007, she formed a strategic partnership with PICA Corporation offering training, Trading Standards Institute response, monitoring and intellegence services to a number of world recognized brands.
With more than nine years of experience in this niche legal field, Lisa has gained a strong reputation. She is currently appointed by the UK Intellectual Property Office as a member of the Intellectual Property Crime Group (IPCG), providing advice on the development of the UK’s National Intellectual Property Crime Strategy. She also serves as the chairperson of IPCG’s Prevention Working sub-group.
Lisa has written extensively on the subject of intellectual property theft for various publications, including World Trademark Review, Trademark World, Entertainment Law Review, Home Entertainment Week, Licensing Today Worldwide, Total Licensing, Toy News and World Tobacco.
She also is the editor of the bi-annual special supplements on Intellectual Property published in The Times and was a contributing author to the Handbook of European IP Management, published by Kogan Page in 2007.
Lisa is a widely sought speaker at many high profile brand protection events including “Growing Business with IP,” an event organized by the European Patent Office; the Intellectual Property Crime Congress; World Tobacco; The Institute of Trademark Attorneys; and Brand Protection. |
