Before coming to PICA in 2004, Christopher Piazza, Regional Director - New York, enjoyed a 10-year career with the N.Y.P.D. His experience in counterfeit trademark assisted him in creating the first S.I. Peddlers Task Force. He led several large undercover investigations in which his team seized record numbers of merchandise for several brand owners. His expertise in software piracy and Internet fraud branded him an expert in the field. As a detective, he has an extensive background in interviewing and interrogations. He also possesses the knowledge and experience in dignitary and facility security. His career led him to an elite unit in the New York / New Jersey High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Fugitive Task Force where he investigated high-profile felony crimes. His training with PICA and his experience in the field has elevated his skills in intellectual property, product diversion and brand protection.
