A retired Army Officer, Jim served 20 years of his 23-year career in Army Special Operations. His last 10 years, he served as an Operations Officer with 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment-Delta (Delta Force). He was selected by the Secretary of Defense to serve as an advisor to the Director of the Central Intelligence Agency on planning and preparation for the invasion of Afghanistan.

Jim spent 17 years in key military command and staff leadership roles. These roles include the Director of Operations for a 1,700 person Joint, Combined, Interagency Task Force in Iraq; Director of Operations for a Joint, Combined, Interagency Task Force in Afghanistan, Director of Operations for Delta Force; Task Force Commander of a special mission unit in the Balkans; Operations Officer of a Delta Force Squadron and a Troop Commander in Delta Force.

Jim is a graduate of Mansfield University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelors Degree in Communications.
