Rodolfo G. Diaz Named Chief Operating Officer of PICA Corporation
Global growth drives decision
Columbus, OH – Rodolfo G. Diaz has been named Chief Operating Officer of PICA Corporation, one of the word’s largest corporate investigations and loss prevention companies.
Diaz, who will be reporting to PICA Corporation president Vaughn Volpi, will direct and oversee all operational activity of the Company’s global business units.

Prior to joining PICA Corporation, Diaz, 38, served with the Hewlett Packard Corporation’s Imaging & Supplies Division leading the Global Anti-counterfeiting Program. While with Hewlett-Packard, Diaz was directly responsible for the worldwide interdiction of over $250 million in counterfeit ink and toner supplies. Under Diaz’s leadership, the program became recognized as the gold standard for global brand & intellectual property protection.
Prior to this, Diaz served as director of corporate security at Precision Response Corporation, a division of InterActive Corporation, one of the largest providers of global customer management, focused on business-to-business as well as business-to-consumer solutions for some of the world’s most popular brands. Diaz was responsible for mitigating risk associated with business discontinuity for the company’s global network of centers, including prevention of fraud, diversion of intellectual property and workplace violence.
He also served as field office manager for Pinkerton, leading operations for both the Chicago and Miami offices. With responsibility for business development and operational management, Diaz provided security consultation, corporate investigations and business intelligence to numerous Fortune 500 companies. Steadfast maintenance, interpretation and reconciliation of the office P&L, afforded Diaz six consecutive years unprecedented profit growth. In 1997, Pinkerton recognized him for outstanding achievement for field operations. In addition, he was hand-selected by the Democratic National Convention to provide security-consulting services to the DNC Committee for the 1996 event.
Diaz began his leadership training upon graduating from Marquette University with a BA in Criminology in 1989, where he was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps. As an infantry officer, Diaz served in Operation Desert Shield/Storm and was selected to participate in special operations in Latin America. He was twice awarded the Bronze Star with combat distinguishing device (V) for heroism.
